"Trouble" by Shampoo

This blast of nostalgia came round on my MP3 player. Needed to share it: And since you are here, have the Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine cover version, too:

Audiobook: "Don't Overthink It" by Anne Bogel

From the get go, this authors voice was much more pleasant to listen to. Not only does it have lots of practical tips on making decisions without overthinking, the audiobook itself is soothing to listen to. So many good tips, a lot of which I already knew, but was a good refresher. My only criticism is that quite a lot of the tips involve spending your way out of decisions... which is nice if you can afford it! My other comment is that towards the end I realised it was a Christian publishing company, and as a sometimes-militant atheist, the references to God and Christianity were so negligible, it didn't bother me at all. It was the kind of non-righteous Christianity that I can understand. 4/5

Audiobook: "Didn't See That Coming" by Rachel Hollis

I gave up somewhere early in Chapter 1. To me, it felt like smug humblebragging, and unrelateable. I normally give books a better chance, but the voice reading the book also grated for me. Not recommended.

Book: "Stepmonster" by Wednesday Martin

A book about becoming a blended family... covering the stereotypical wicked stepmother myths and the realities of blended families, as well as studies of other cultures outside of "The West" and parallels in the animal kingdom. Was interesting to hear multiple experiences of the problems with moving on when your Ex hasn't, and how your children may react.
